9/21/2010 The Bubble is filling with Air As we alluded to in our August 30th analysis, the attempt at providing an economic stimulus via exuberant gains in US Equities seems to be underway. Since our sounding of the potential of a “pumping up” of Stock prices, the Dow Jones Industrial average has gained over 700 points and the Tech heavy NASDAQ over 250 points or a mere increase of over 10% in just over a month’s time. All these exuberant price increases in the face of increased unemployment, further deterioration in real estate and consumers tapping into their retirement funds at alarming rates. Can Stocks go higher….you know the preverbal answer, of course they can. And of course the next message to relay is that risk grows with every percentage gain, especially with an ever important election coming up. It would be nice that instead of constantly focusing on financial market bubbles for fixes, sound policies such as keeping US jobs in the US would be emphasized.
